Why Making Money Online Doesn’t Have To Be Difficult

It can be made very simple to make money on the internet for anyone.

Making money as an internet marketer boils down to this: Making product sales to people to whom you sent an email.

Why are so many people failing with their internet businesses and their websites?

There are a number of reasons for this and they are all remedied by simple marketing methods which every internet business person should be practicing.

One major reason for many online businesses failing is the manner in which the sites are being designed. Amateur copywriters and newbies don’t achieve very good conversions with the traffic that is hitting their sites.  These webmasters are trying to make direct sales from product recommendations, reviews, and banners displayed.

First of all, banner-blindness is very prevalent nowadays so these banners are taking up valuable space on your website that could be better used.

Secondly, you need to fight this banner-blindness by changing the ads on your sites every so often to see what is converting better, or at least getting more clicks.

Another reason for a lot of failed websites is the lack of a name capture mechanism used for list building purposes. If your sites are getting traffic but people are banner blind, don’t you think that you should be building your list? instead you are just hoping to make sales from the same old banner?

You can and will make money with your websites if you use the traffic to your sites to build your list and make sales at the same time.  You can do both, but your highest converting offers won’t come from first-time visitors who come to your site and see some banners.

Your highest traffic conversions will come from the emails that you send to your prospect list that you built. The prospects on your list who take your product emails and product recommendations seriously will trust you. They are more likely to buy from your recommendation than a first-time visitor whose trust you haven’t earned yet.

Time and again I’ve had people on marketing forums tell me that their product isn’t selling. Many of them had yet to make a single sale.

I would take a look at their sale spage and see that it’s not that good then ask them how they’re promoting their product and they’ll invariably tell me that they use traffic exchanges and forum links to promote their sites.

So I encourage these people to create a simple squeeze page and a newsletter with 7 - 8 emails. These should emphasize the value of obtaining the product, and that the sales always start coming in once they divert their attention to list building instead of direct sales.

If you’re not building a list, that is one of the biggest internet marketing mistakes you could be making and I suggest that you change your focus a little to see how powerful this change in attitude will be for you.

When you see how well this works, you should work to automate you list building so that you can have your very own automated profit system.
