SEO Training: Become A Successful Internet Marketer

Make Money Online

When you have your own website and you are planning to earn money from it, you definitely would like to see it rank at the top of the search results for the keywords you are optimizing it for. And the way to do this is to use search engine optimization. However if you are new to internet marketing, it is perhaps better if you first undergo an seo training, whether a paid and formal one or just by your own self using all the free information that you can find online.

Do you need to attend some seo seminars just to be able to know how search engine optimization works? Well, not really because almost everything that you need can be found on the internet, and for free. It actually depends on your preference. For example, if you are the type of person who learns much better by being in the company of similar minded people, all learning the same thing, then an actual seminar or workshop is right for you. But if you can learn on your own, in your own place and time, a home based seo training course is the better option for you. But these two options are paid options. You can still learn seo through just reading websites, blogs and observing what others have been doing.

But if you really want to know how search engine optimization works, the true education lies on actual usage of it. You need to actually do it and see the results for yourself. Because it is never enough that you spend hours and days reading about seo theories and reports without you actually doing it. As they often say, experience is the best teacher and it is true here. That is because no two websites are the same and no two internet marketing strategies can give the same results. So for you to fully undersand search engine optimization, you just need to get your hands dirty with it.

Experimenting is part of your education in search engine optimization and you definitely should do it every chance you get. Because that is the only way that you can be sure that one technique or process works better than the others, at least for your own website or usage. You should know the difference between white hat seo and black hat seo, with white being the more acceptable practices. Avoid doing anything that is sneaky or downright spammy in the eyes of the search engines and also your fellow internet marketers. You should always read on what the top internet marketers have to say on different seo techniques. Seo experts like David Jenyns are usually very open in sharing their expertise and in helping people to learn better seo.

But while white hat seo should be your priority, there are also some occasions where it is alright for you to do something that is not completely white hat. This is now considered gray hat and many people, even the experts, still are debating on the effectiveness of most gray hat practices. And it is just a normal thing for you to do that after you have mastered all the basics of seo that you will then be ready to do some more adventurous experiments. This is to either test your own theories or for you to find a better seo method.

The road to online marketing success through effective search engine optimization is wide open with opportunities. All it takes is a well spirited soul who is willing to learn and put into good use the knowledge that he will be getting from his seo workshops, seo training DVDs, and other sources of information about the subject.

What It Takes To Be A Successful Online Entrepreneur

There are numerous ways to be a success in life. Financial success isn’t the only benchmark of course. Unfortunately, in these trying times, one cannot live without some financial security to fall back on. You can be the most successful musician, writer or sportsman, but without financial success, you are as good as dead. A great way to augment your income is by being an online entrepreneur.

So how does one become an online entrepreneur anyway? First off, of course, you must have access to a computer with Internet access. After all, being online is the keyword in online entrepreneurship right? If you can’t be online, then what’s the use of trying to be an online merchant? Secure these, a computer with Internet access, and you are ready to rock and roll. It’s time to start planning your online business.

You now have a computer with Internet access. What’s next? Well, you can think about what kind of online business you would want to get into. There are many opportunities that budding online marketers can get into. But for starters, I recommend you learn SEO first. Why? Well, SEO, or search engine optimization, is the act of marketing your website to make it more accessible to users. So learning SEO can ensure that whatever business you do choose to get into, you can market it yourself and, if you feel that the level of SEO expertise you have is capable enough, you can even use SEO as a business itself by marketing other websites.

After learning SEO, or say you already know all about, you decide that it’s not for you to make as a business. What can you do? Don’t fret, a little research can reveal to you the many online businesses you can get into. Email campaigns, online trading, selling a service or product, and many more. There isn’t a shortage of what you can do, so you can choose to your heart’s content. Take note though, that whatever you choose, make sure that you are passionate about it and know a lot about it. This is important because your knowledge build your credibility as an expert in whatever field it is you’ve chosen.

So, with all that’s been discussed, how does it all tie in? To recap, you must first have a computer of your own with Internet access. This is so you are always up to date with your online business. Then, you must learn SEO, whether you decide to use the knowledge to be a business itself or to use for your business is up to you. Then, choose what kind of business you will get into. When choosing, make sure that you are passionate about it and knowledgeable. This is important to build credibility with your users and also, to minimize the risk of you getting tired of it all and giving up in the end. Make a chart of all that’s been discussed and study it well. If it doesn’t make sense here, it will once it is on paper. Good luck and be profitable!

The Right Way to Do Titles And Descriptions

Position #1 SEO Techniques - Google

Copy that is matching what folk are searching is a good |way to get natural SEO.  In here, we may talk about the best way to write titles and descriptions, typically because these are important when it comes to on page SEO and how critical those titles are. This is how to learn SEO.

Titles must draw the reader in to be sure they read it.  Usually, it’s kind of like a teaser that gives missing info to coerce the reader to read the entire way through.  This releases a mystique and has a newsy quality to it.  In here, the passive voice is useful.  I don’t say ‘Michel Fortin’s Copywriting and marketing Tips’ I say ‘Copywriting and selling Tips By Copywriter Michel Fortin’.  So copywriting, selling, tips or copywriter are front loaded.

I have the special luck of having been on the internet for some time now and I am known the way I am known, so folk essentially search for my name.  I look at my Google figures and my traffic stats and people keep searching and they find my blog thru my personal| name.

What I do is, I tend to put those keywords in the front.  I may not mechanically be number one when it comes to copywriting tips, but that isn’t my goal anyway.  My goal is that when it would seem in the search site, those words hit them.  So when they scan the search results, particularly if you are at the top, that is great, but if you’re not, when people scan, that hits them.  That is what I actually need to do.

Have a look at some of the blog content.  I will give you an example of what I’ve done with my past blog.  I say, ‘Headlines that Pull, convince and Propel’ rather than exclaiming ‘How to Write Headlines that Pull and Persuade’ or ‘How to tug and impel Readers with Headlines’ Instead, I put the word reports because I know when folks look for headline tips, they type in the word strap line.  So I front loaded that keyword.  That is the type of thing I do.

Let me warn you folks now.  I am not an SEO person in any way.  However , I do tend to believe about the way the mind thinks.  I always try to concentrate on putting those few keywords.

There’s a actually cool and fascinating study done at a university, released by Jakob Neilsen in his mag Use IT.  He talked about using the passive voice ; front loading keywords are important because eye tracking studies have conclusively proved that when folk scan a page, or when they type in words in search engines, they can type in, or look out for or scan for, and stop at, those 2 first words.  The first three or 4 words maximum, but the first two words are crucial.

If you have Copywriting Tips or if you have insomnia Cure or Energy Boost, those are important as you are putting those keywords that folks are really trying to find.  But in my particular titles, in my particular blog content, I have a tendency to do that, but I also tend to use it in such a way that it drives folks into the blog post.

as an example, if I write a post on 5 of my best SEO copywriting tips.  I’ll say Boost search website Traffic Using These 5 Tips…so the boost and the keywords are front loaded, but I did not mention what the tips are.  I claimed : These five Tips, as if you have to go into the article to know what those five tips are.

So I use a bit of curiosity, intrigue, occasionally half-stated truths or half stated statements.  I start the idea and then I use.. , the elipse so that people are driven into the blog post to read.  My major goal is to get folks into my blog, into my site.  SEO is a sort of an afterthought. This is how to do SEO. But it is especially necessary to get folk to engage with me and to buy my stuff.

Search Engine Ranking Training From Marketers College

Search Engine Rankings.  Everyone wants to be number one, and there are millions of web sites out there. How can you manage to get a top search result postion and then stay there?Consistency is the key here.OK, you can use the latest, bestest tricks in the book right now but when somebody comes out with a better technique tomorrow you will be left struggling to get to the top once more.

I think one of the keys is to be well-rounded.  There are many books and philosophies about web rankings that are floating around.  Some people say article marketing is the way to go, others link building, others say you have to maximize your web pages for the search engines. You must get your keywords right as well as the descriptions and titles.  But what happens when another web site does you one better in that area?  Now you drop in rank.

Therefore, I think it is more important that you do a good job in all the areas than to be the very best in one area.I think that not ranking number one is OK, getting into the top few results will do OK, also.  If you are in the very top spot and you are clicked simply because the top spot gets more clicks, are you really going to get more sales just because you are number one?  Your product and site have to be relevant to the consumer, not just the search engine.

Another key is to focus on very specific keywords. You can do a great job in all areas of search engine optimization but if you cut back here then you will very likely hit the top spots with any of your search terms.  Focus on one, or at the most, two keywords.  Build your site around those keywords.Be all that you can be to the person who types in those search terms.

Or better yet, one keyword.Would you prefer to have one keyword with a top ranking or 10 keywords, each with a 4th page placement? In my opinion, 40th could just as well be one million, there will never be enough clicks to make the page viable.  I would far rather have one keyword for which my site is on the first page of results than twenty that are all over the place.Build yourself a website that is focussed upon just one or two keyword phrases.  Put those keywords in your title and description and keyword lists.

You must have incoming links.Your web pages need decent quality backlinks. You need to build inward links one at a time.Backlinks are vitally important and you can not cut corners in this respect.  You must build them one by one.  My two favorite methods of link building is to write articles, like this one, and submit them to article directories, and to be included in link directories.

Stay away from link farms, large link exchanges, or anything of the sort.  The major search engines want to see you build a steady supply of links over time. How do you think the search engines will react when you go from no links to thousands in a single day?  That won’t get you to number one, and certainly won’t keep you there, when you are put in the sandbox for six months.

These keys to search engine optimization are just a beginning.Good search engine rankings can lead directly to website traffic.  You need visitors to stay at your site for more than a few seconds when they click in.

How do you get that?Provide real content.  Build it for people, not machines—while following the first three keys.  Do that, and I believe that in three to six months you will have each web site you set up with this strategy, in the top ten for your keyword.

The Basics of Search Engine Optimization

If you’ve been trying to work for a bit and still feel unsure about the internet term SEO this you must read this article.  In this article, you will learn  how you can use it effectively, and what you need to do to ensure you don’t get your site penalized.

(First, you  may want to take a look here:, Goole Conquest Authority is a training product that trains you on SEO in complete detail, but for now, you should start off with this article.)

As I said above, SEO stands for search engine optimization. The toughest question new online marketers ask is what is a search engine? I know this is extremely basic, but this is where you must start.  Once you learn the extreme basics, when you begin to find out more on the topic of SEO, you will have a complete grasp of exactly what SEO is.

A search engine is a website you go to when you are searching for a particular subject on the internet. In example, Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask, etc. Those sites are all search engines. When you are looking for an answer online, you go to a search engine, put in the information you are searching for, and there ya go! The search engine “searches” the web for you and brings up an entire list of all the websites on the internet that are relevant to your query.

You know what a search engine is and you know what SEO is.  Now let me tell to you how you can optimize your site for it.

The most important thing you must do before any optimization, is you must determine your desired targeted keywords for your site. What I mean by this is finding the terms you want your site to rank for with the search engines. An example of this would be:

You have a website loaded with repairing computers. People who are trying to find information on fixing their computers might search for these phrases: how to fix my computer, what does a blue screen on a computer mean, or my computer is broken. These would all be considered long tail keywords, and those are what you would want to target, because they are the actual terms that people search the search engines for.

Be certain when picking your keywords or key phrases, they are actual terms that get searched for, if not, you won’t get any traffic to your site. (Another tip is to be sure you pick keywords that don’t have lots of other websites targeting them. You might not still get visitors if there is too many sites competing.) I highly recommend using a keyword research tool to help you find some excellent ones. You can use Google’s free keyword tool, or Wordtracker’s free tool if money is tight. They are excellent starter tools, and they do the job fantastically. Once you start making some money, I highly recommend you get a paid tool because they are so much more effective, and you can really find some good keywords you would never have thought of.

You can read out more about keyword research and finding good keywords here.

Alright, so now that you know what keywords you will use, the next step is to be sure your site is optimized for those keywords. So how do you do this? It’s pretty simple really.

The most important rule of thumb is always title your page or post with your keywords. This will be known as your title tag. Title tags have a very big influence on the search engines when they crawl your site, so whatever your title is, the search engines will consider it a keyword and you want to rank for it. This holds true for your domain name as well. Your page/post title and your website title (domain name) are incredibly important factors in the SEO world.

aAfter you have purchased your domain (the website address), and you have chosen your targeted key phrases or words, the next part is to add content to your website or blog. Write an article that is at least 400-500 words, and make sure you include your targeted keywords or phrases at least 2-3 times in the content. Be careful not to go overboard with this, or you may get penalized. Keepin in mind the keyword density is not over 7% (amount of keywords vs. actual words on page). Staying below 6-7% is much better. If you go over this recommended safety net, the search engines may see you as “keyword stuffing”. Keyword stuffing means using your keywords too many times in one page, and your site will pay for it if you do that, I promise.

The longer the page and content, the better chance you have of being able to get all your keywords in and not make it look like you are keyword stuffing. In other words, keep your posts and pages long, and you can put all your keywords in. Search engines like long text articles and unique content.

Do not fret about getting every keyword phrase in your article multiple times, because the search engines are smart, and if you have a quality site, Google will rank you for keywords you never even tried to rank for. The most important goal is putting your main phrase in 2-3 times, and the others at least once.

That’s it- SEO in a nutshell. Teach yourself as much information as you can about the subject, because it truly will benefit you in the long run.  To learn SEO takes some patience, but soon enough you’ll be an SEO pro.
