If you are new to the world of eBay, we’d like to give you some basic techniques that will let you take advantage of little known ways to make more money, including little known processes that aren’t often discussed.

You may have heard of the increasingly popular term ‘eBay arbitrage’ you browse around for goods that have been poorly or wrongly listed, buy them at a cheap price, fix the mistakes in the listings and then resell them for a profit on eBay.

But something which is discussed is how to make money on eBay with eBay arbitrage on a consistent pace. Of course if you use arbitrage methods, you will have to wait for bargains to come along – so how about exploiting reverse arbitrage? The process is similar to the traditional technique; expect that instead of taking advantage of seller’s poor communication skills, you will take advantage of the customers’.

What this means is that you will actively list products that you will spell incorrectly. Most people going to eBay will search for a specific term, and many don’t know how to spell the product they are looking for correctly. Let’s take for example the trendy kid’s character Hannah Montana. Many shoppers searching eBay will incorrectly spell this name, so if you were to obtain a lot of Hannah Montana merchandise, you could list in the title ‘Hanah Montanna’ or something similar, and all the people who misspelled the name would see your products.

The advantages to doing business in this way, is that you are able to make more money for the items you are selling or corner markets which may face a lot of competition. Often buyers will place ‘Buy it Now’ offers for items when they see there is a limited selection available, so you may be able to raise your profits in this manner.

So how do you get started doing this? Well firstly, you need to find a trustworthy wholesale supplier of the products that you will list on eBay. Particularly for license goods, it is a good idea that you ensure that the wholesale supplier you are dealing with is located within the country and that the items that they are selling are not knock-offs. After all, you want to offer high quality products to your customers.

Next up, you need to make a listing for your items on eBay. You can think of common misspellings yourself, or there are many free tools available online that will let you know what people will be likely to type.

If you feel there is any sort of risk with doing business in this way, you might want to track down a drop shipping option which will allow you to list many different wholesale items without the risk that you won’t be able to sell them. If you are taking advantage of reverse eBay arbitrage this sort of wholesale product sourcing can be ideal for you.

Now you know how to make money on eBay with eBay arbitrage, all you need to do is find a genuine wholesale supplier and get started!
