You encounter many professional bloggers who are talking about ways to drive more traffic to your blog, but these methods are very time consuming.

Many times they’ll tell you to engage other bloggers and make yourself known to them so they’ll comment on your blogs or just become aware of you.  They will also recommend that you link to other bloggers’ posts because these bloggers know who is linking to them and this increases their awareness of you and your site.

Those are all great tips, but if you want to increase website traffic without having to do a lot of time-consuming work there are some easy things to do that will get you more traffic.

On-page optimization tip-

It has been my experience that it only takes a few quality backlinks to get your domain name highly ranked if you’re using good keywords in your domain name.

You should know that a keyword-rich domain name is one of the most powerful search engine optimization aspects for a site so this should be considered carefully prior to building a new site.

So, if you have a domain name called bluegreenwidgets dot com, it will only take a few backlinks to rank well for the term bluegreenwidgets.

The second most critical on-page optimization factor on your site is the site’s title itself.  This is where you should add in a variation of the domain name but use 2 sets of keywords here for the site title.

In the example being used above the domain name bluegreenwidgets will have the site title of Blue Widgets - Green Widgets. The reason you want to do this is to gain maximum benefit from your on page factors and not just give your website the same title as the domain name.

That’s a good tip that will get you more traffic and ranking with less effort, just by making a few changes that take 15 seconds to do.

Blog writing tips-

It’s diificullt to write a lot of good content to a lot of sites all the time, especially if you are doing some niche affiliate marketing in some niches you don’t know much about.

The secrets here is to write when you feel compelled to do so and to write with authority and passion. You obviously can’t write with passion and authority if you don’t know anything about your niche topic. The solution to this is to learn more about your niche by reading the newspaper and watching some television. You can also get some free website content.

If you picked a niche that is related to a very popular and general topic, then you will find plenty of information from newspaper, magazines and telelvision if you become tuned in to this content. Then what you need to do is to write about what’s hot right now and relates to your niche topics.
